R. Scott Collins was born and raised in Vero Beach, FL. He attended Duke University, where he graduated cum laude. He then received his JD and Masters of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from the University of Florida College of Law.
Mr. Collins practiced law with Williams, Parker, Harrison, Dietz and Getzen for over nine years and was a shareholder of the Firm. During that time, Mr. Collins’ practice focused on estate planning, estate administration, and tax planning. While practicing law, Mr. Collins was Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates by the Florida Bar Association.
Seeking a career in wealth management, Mr. Collins was an early member of the team that began the Sarasota office of National City Private Client Group, which became PNC Wealth Management by merger. Mr. Collins served as a Relationship Manager for PNC Wealth Management and was promoted to lead the Sarasota office for PNC Wealth Management.
Mr. Collins founded Fiduciary Wealth Advisors in 2014, and he serves as its President. Fiduciary Wealth Advisors has a passionate commitment to help its clients with all of their financial needs, serving with a fiduciary duty that makes the clients’ best interests the critical focus and priority of the company.
Mr. Collins has served as the President of the Southwest Florida Estate Planning Council, Chairman of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Sarasota Bar Association, Chairman of the Board of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, Treasurer of the YMCA Foundation of Sarasota County, member of the Executive Committee of the Asolo Repertory Theater, Vice-Chairman of Gulf Coast Community Foundation, and Vice-Chairman of Southeastern Guide Dogs. He currently serves as Treasurer of Mote Marine Laboratory.
